Jack Rivers becomes an Investment Banker at age 24, so it said on his business card. He starts in the financial world in a boiler room.
The boiler room for Jack was a grind as it is should be
He was hired on at $1200 a month draw against future commission, which if you did not make it. You had to pay back the draw. And the company who hired him had this system in place for a long time. They had the lawyers to come after their money
Jack learns a lesson here. Plan for the worst, but don’t let the bad cause you to lose sleep. Just be ready
Making 100 cold calls a day to bank presidents was a requirement. Many failed here alone.
The cycle for the company was – They hired 6 or 10 new people every month.
At the end of each month Jack Rivers leans half of the new hires are fired based upon production. Sell or be fired. And at the end of each month new people are added to the boiler room sales floor.
If you could make it through this process six times you where hired full time
Jack made it.
He then begins to make connections. One in particular were bankers from Pakistan
This is were this story begins.
